Lore

Lore is the oral history of SWIL. It includes various facts about past club events, plus a lot of extremely stale gossip, all of which is generally inextricably tangled together.

Lore is kept in the memories of those who were there, and passed on to subsequent generations of SWIL (and, to a lesser extent, the rest of campus) in stories, where it becomes slowly mangled away from the truth. Lore is often transmitted on the chat list and in various realtime media of communication; some people think that putting lore up on the wiki, the website, or other mostly-static media takes all the fun out of it by providing an authoritative source.

Loremaster (or loremistress) is a title of varying officiality, generally held by the person in each generation who is most obsessed with collecting and retelling lore.
