Submit to BEM!
From SWILwiki
Commonly repeated catchphrase at SWIL meeting and elsewhere, the in-joke being that after multiple SWILMeetings in which the BEM editors attempt to strike up interest in the publication by calling for submissions even though the deadline is several months away, "Submit to BEM!" becomes an expected and not very meaningful phrase ubiquitously referenced in all SWIL materials (such as being referenced in mutated form in a themed SWILnews). Traditionally repeated at the end of SWIL business to fill time; "slow meetings" are famously ones where there is no SWIL Business other than "Submit to BEM!" and, possibly, "Nominate Books, You Stupid Illiterate People!". Often generates stock responses based on a punning interpretation of "submit", such as "Dominate BEM!" or "Never!".
A variant, used regardless of time of year or actual BEM deadline: "Submit to BEM! Final deadline two weeks from today!"
